Ricardo Orozco: Exceeding Guest Espectations

The Villa Group has been a prominent fixture in Los Cabos for nearly two decades now. Led by executive director Ricardo Orozco, Villa Group Resorts Los Cabos includes the Villa del Palmar, Villa La Estancia Beach Resort & Spa, and Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Desert Spa. The latter opened in July 2007. "Villa del Arco is the perfect complement to our Villa La Estancia and Villa del Palmar," says Orozco. All three properties feature beachfront locations.

"All of our properties offer fantastic views and great locations," says Orozco. "They are close to downtown Cabo San Lucas, as well as being located at El Médano Beach, the best swimable beach in the area."

According to Orozco, exceeding guest expectations is the approach to customer service that is shared by all employees at the Villa Group. "We've reached our goal of providing everything our guests need to help them relax and rejuvenate on their vacation," he says, adding that "all amenities are according to the international standards of a five-star resort." A partial list of amenities include spacious balconies, high-speed Internet access (surcharge), washer/dryer, wet bar and whirlpool tubs.

Raised in Puerto Vallarta, Orozco attended Cornell University, majoring in sales, marketing and customer service. Aside from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and other family members, and enjoying a good meal and sampling different wines. Orozco's appreciation for food and wine had a marked impact on his oldest of four children, Alexandra. She is currently attending culinary school in the United States. His other children include Ricardo, who is about to finish high school, and Cristóbal and Ana Laura, who are still in elementary school.

Orozco considers his mother the main influence in his life. "She is a hard-working woman who always does her best effort to reach her goals," he says. "She is a great role model."

The executive director feels that the Villa Group Resorts will continue to serve the greater Los Cabos area while being one of the local leaders in the hotel industry. He summarizes his assessment of the company's future: "In addition to supporting the tourist development aspect for Los Cabos, we will continue providing quality service and exceptional amenities to our guests, now and into the future."
