Miroslava Bautista Sánchez: Changing the World, One Child at a Time
The LCCF has a new director.

The Los Cabos Children’s Foundation (LCCF) is one of the best-kept secrets in luxurious Land’s End. Miroslava Bautista Sánchez, new director of the nonprofit LCCF, hopes to change that perception. Before taking over the helm at LCCF in early 2011, Bautista Sánchez served as a member of the board of directors for the organization for two years. Her background in public relations, tourism, marketing, sales and management will benefit the LCCF mission of helping children.
Serving the needs of thousands of children in the Baja California Sur region, LCCF provides medical assistance, meals and educational opportunities to children in need. “The Los Cabos Children’s Foundation is well known in the nonprofit and government communities for its humanitarian aid to children,” says Bautista Sánchez, who adds, “our organization is working hard to create better awareness for itself in the local community.”
Bautista Sánchez, who grew up in the Michoacán area of Mexico, has lived in the Los Cabos area for the last 18 years. A few of her past positions include serving as president of Club Rotario Los Cabos, a board of directors member for the local Humane Society and past president and founder of the Public Relations Association of Los Cabos, to name a few. A graduate of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and Tecnológico de Monterrey, Bautista Sánchez has a relaxing home life when not engaged in LCCF activities. “I love reading and traveling, and walking my dogs on the beach,” she shares.
One of the top fundraisers for LCCF is Amy and Vince’s Fred Duckett Challenge. “From March 1–4, 2012, we will offer our sixth annual golf tournament, which takes place at a few of Los Cabos’ exquisite golf courses,” says Bautista Sánchez. “In addition to the great entertainment provided by Amy Grant and Vince Gill over the course of three days, the event creates a significant basket of resources that help Los Cabos-area children throughout the year.”
